A few years ago, I became very ill. Drained, exhausted, and depressed. I started to lose hair in the handfuls, had constant pain in my joints, and I put on a lot of weight. A lot. So on top of being sick, I also become super insecure about myself and my body. Getting out of bed was a struggle, let alone having the energy to work out, spend time with friends, or even smile. It was an extremely dark time in my life. If my life is an ocean, this was certainly my lowest tide.
After spending thousands of dollars on tests, seeing handfuls of doctors and professionals, being put on multiple medications, and still not feeling better, I knew there had to be something more I could do. Turns out, there was.
I began studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition –the largest nutrition school in the world. During this time, I started learning the undeniable and direct impact food has on our mind, body, and health. And more so, I experienced it firsthand. As I implemented what I was learning, I started to feel better day by day. On a deeper level, I started to understand how things outside of food nourish us as well. When we neglect these foundational aspects in our lives, we can experience weight gain, stress, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, and yes, even sickness.
I've spent hours researching and testing what worked for me and what didn't. I also got certified as a personal trainer and Zumba instructor. Through all of this, I not only became healthier, but I became happier. So. Much. Happier.
My goal in founding Seas Wellness is to help people just like you transform their lives by establishing healthier habits. I want to help you through your low tides in life and navigate you to the high tides.
